What is your jewellery made from?
I work mainly in silver. I also like to work in copper and gold. The metal that I have worked in is clearly stated on the listing. Although if you are unsure then please message me, I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
Is your jewellery hallmarked?
If an item is hallmarked it is stated on the listing. If the item is not hallmarked I’m happy to have this service completed at a cost to the buyer. The cost of hallmarking varies depending on the piece of jewellery (the assay office has different prices depending on what is being hallmarked). Please let me know if you are interested in this service and I can discuss prices with you then.
Why are some of your items listed as Sterling Silver and others as White Precious Metal
Items listed as sterling silver have either been hallmarked (noted in the listing) or are below the minimum weight for hallmarking. For silver, anything below 7.78g does not have to be hallmarked to be sold as sterling silver. So studs for example would fall under this category.
Pieces that are stated as being made from White Previous Metal are unhallmarked silver metal. I’m not allowed to sell it as sterling silver as it is above the minimum weight and I don’t have the hallmark to prove the quality. I’m happy to have items hallmarked at cost to the buyer.
Do you take custom/bespoke orders?
Yes, I’m quite happy to discuss custom orders. I’m happy to work in copper, silver or gold. If you have an idea that you would like to see made, I can work with you to create a sketch of your design. Although the design that I have drawn would have my copyright protection it would not be repeated unless you requested it.
If you have no idea of a complete design but would have an idea of something you would like eg. ‘a silver necklace that contains amethyst’, then I am happy to draw up some idea’s based on your direction and make an item from there. The copyright of the designs would belong to me. If you would like to make your design exclusive I am happy to discuss the options with you.
How big is the item I’m looking at?
All the specifics of my items (eg. size, price, customisation options) are within the listing descriptions. If there is any information that you need and can’t see please message me, either through Facebook, email or the Contact form.
How will my item be sent?
All items are always sent by Royal Mail Signed For service. This means that a signature is required for delivery.
After your item has been shipped I will contact you via text message or email to let you know your tracking number. This is the most convenient way to tell if your item has been shipped and where in the delivery process it is.
How much is the postage/delivery charge?
The delivery or postage charge is always stated on the listing description. I try to keep my charges as low as possible, often undercharging the actual price of the postage. If you would like to use any other delivery method/option, please email or message me for more information.
How do I order an item?
Simply go to the store tab above or visit my Folksy store direct, find the item that you would like and hit the ‘add to basket’ button. From there you will be guided through the buying process by Folksy.
Payment is always by PayPal, however you do not need an account to purchase. You can simply complete the guest checkout option without signing up to anything.
I’ve seen the item I want but can’t find it on the store
Simply contact me or drop me an email with the item details and I will be able to let you know if the item is available to order. If the item is available to order, the item will be made as a bespoke order. A separate listing will be created for you on Folksy and then you will be asked to purchase in the normal way. Please note a 50% deposit is required for all bespoke orders. Bespoke orders are non-refundable unless faulty.
